St. Patrick's day parade
First thing you need to understand is that these people party at the drop of a hat. One lady in the legion hall explained it to me. "If someone drops a handkerchief we will have a party."
Most of us northerners have no idea what the parades are like. We hear stories of beads being thrown at Mardi Gras but that's about it. Below you will see that there is much more than that. St. Paddys day for example they throw cabbage, carrots, potatoes, along with beads, dolls, and anything else they might come across.
I am taking these pictures while standing in front of the American Legion hall on Carey street.
