My System Specs

for testing the

Sapphire X1950 PRO AGP

First of all my systems change pretty regularly so I was hesitant to list my config at first. But several folks have asked so I will list this machine that I tested the Sapphire card with. Note that I have one potential problem card in the system. I am running an ATI HDTV card along with this and am watching closely that it doesn't cause any problems. If I feel at any time that it is bothering things out it goes and I will note such in my drivers testing section.

Tyan Tiger I7505 (S2668) Motherboard

Dual 3.2ghz Xeon w/2mb cache FSB 533

2 gig DDR RAM (4X512) in dual channel mode

80 gig IDE drive

200 gig IDE drive

I will have to open the system to id the PSU as I have forgotten at the moment. All I remember is that it is at least 30amp on the 12v rail.

DVD burner

Lian Li large aluminum server tower. (I have forgotten the model number)

ATI HDTV card

Two LCD monitors, 19" Proview (1440X900) and one 22" Samsung 225BW (1680X1050)

LOTS of fans and good airflow. One thing here I am a fan nut. I always have my fans set up so I have positive pressure. So there is more going in than out. This keeps me from sucking in foreign objects, dirt, into the case via drives, cracks etc. I put filters on the intakes so as to keep the interior as clean as possible.
